Chant Workshop: An Easter Procession

The Old Sloop cordially invites you to a FREE chant workshop led by Artist in Residence Gillian Hurst.

This is an informal, public event at which participants will learn an Easter chant, its history, how to read the original notation, and how it works in a procession.

No musical experience is necessary and we welcome and value the participation of individuals of all abilities – including those who are unable to walk.

All participants are invited to perform the procession at the First Congregational Church during the Easter service at 10am Sunday, April 20.

While this event is aimed to be as accessible as possible, it will be best enjoyed by people who can read, listen, and focus for about 45 minutes at a time. Anyone who might find this difficult should be supervised.
